8pm  STRAIGHT8²

£6 tickets available in advance here

Straight8 will be showing the best 20 films from their 2011 competition alongside 20 of the best ever, side-by-side on one screen. Viewers can choose which film to listen to on wireless headphones (a la 'silent disco'). It’s a totally unique experience.

Straight8 would like to give huge thanks to 750mph audio post-production and to Audio Network production music, both of whom have made these audacious audio antics possible. The Straight8² screening at the LSFF last year went down a storm, so this one is not to be missed.

It’s an all-new program, none of the films have been seen in this way before and loads of the cream of Straight8 filmmakers will be there.

Be there + be²

Straight 8 is open to anyone, anywhere at www.straight8.net

25 05 13: United Film Festival - The Days In Between

We're pleased to have the excellent United Film Festival back at Roxy for the second year running with 3 days of excellent new independent features (and a couple of classics) all accompanied by shorts, and most with cast / crew in attendance.

The Days In Between

A quirky, character-driven dramedy with multiple story lines about Londoners whose lives have come to a standstill. A truly independent production, starting from casting in the director’s kitchen to shooting the entire film on location with a skeleton crew on a shoestring budget in just 10 days. An unusual debut feature – 4 story lines, 12 locations, 30 characters. A film that is dynamic, funny, tragic, romantic, dark, heart-breaking, thought-provoking, uplifting, colourful – and truly unique.

Screening with short film For George

Starts 1pm.  £6 tickets and more info here
