This excellent dark comedy drama comes from indie kid turned mainstream movie maker Jonathan Demme, who cuts loose with a great script about straight-talking black sheep of the family Kym returning for her sister's wedding.  Anne Hathaway stars and takes most of the credit, deservedly, for a great performance.  But it's Demme's improvisational, exhilarating style that really gives the actors the freedom to excel and draw the audience right into the family life.  A really great little film.
